Congratulations! Adam Garcia and the Southside High School Student Ambassador Team for the Mayor’s Fitness Council. Adam’s service project has been recommended for grant seed funding by a grant review committee. The Mayor’s Fitness Council, Mayor Ivy Taylor, The Baptist Health Foundation, H-E-B and It’s Time Texas announced this week that Adam’s team is the recipient of $6,000.00 to go towards your service project. Adam’s project features a community garden and a fresh food market for the Southside community.
The team will attend a funding meeting on Tuesday, February 7th from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Municipal Plaza Building in the Plaza B Room – 114 W. Commerce Street SA, TX 78205. This is where the mayor will be presenting the $6,000!
