Several students from SISD’s Gallardo Elementary School were delayed getting home today after a lockdown was issued for the campus at approximately 3:27pm. Southside ISD Police department issued the lockdown as a precaution. SISD PD was informed by SAPD and DEA that an armed suspect was on the loose in the Mission De Lago neighborhood. Gallardo Elementary is in the Mission De Lago neighborhood. The law enforcement agencies were serving a warrant. At approximately 3:54pm the lockdown was called off. All remaining students, who were still at the elementary are being delivered to their homes. The bus routes affected are bus routes 50, 19, and 25.
