High School Students – Alamo Colleges Foundation Scholarship Open January 9 – April 2

The Alamo Colleges Foundation scholarship application opens Monday January 9 at www.alamo.edu/foundation/scholarships for students who will be coming to Alamo Colleges in Fall 2017.

Who can apply?

  • High-achieving students with minimum 3.0 GPA (80 equivalent on 100-pt. scale)
  • who are college-ready
  • intent in following college academic plans that lead to baccalaureate degrees in Information Technology (IT), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Cyber-Security, Nursing or Health Professions-Respiratory Care
  • and come from high schools in the East Central, Edgewood, Harlandale, San Antonio, Somerset, SouthSan, Southside, and Southwest ISDs

How to apply?

Application for the Harvey Najim Pathways Scholarship is a two-part process:  the Alamo Colleges electronic application  online at www.alamo.edu/foundation/scholarships and the paper Certification Form (attached here), which must be printed, completed and scanned then emailed, mailed or delivered – both applications will be accepted between January 9 and April 2, 2017 – see form for details.

On the electronic scholarship application, interested students should indicate they want to enroll in an Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Network Administration, Biology/Pre-Nursing or Chemistry field of study at one of these Alamo Colleges – SAC, PAC, SPC or NVC – and they MUST complete both the electronic and paper forms for application.
