Student designs Mighty Cardinal Band trailer

Southside High School band student Aaron Rollins designed the Southside ISD’s new band trailer. Rollins, a senior, who plays the saxophone in the band, created the artwork as a project in his graphics design class at Southside High School.

The student’s artwork includes the high school logo at the front of the trailer, followed by about two dozen musical notes which cover the majority
of the trailer.

Crews are presently outfitting the trailer’s interior with special shelving to prevent the students’ musical instruments from being damaged during trips.
Rollins created the design after seeing a prototype submitted by a profes-sional designer.

“I like Aaron’s work. It’s creative and original. The notes make it clearer that it’s a band-related vehicle and its marching band branding,” said Michael Misko, Head Band Director at Southside High School.

“I think it’s cool that it’s one of the band members who designed it,” he added
