On Thursday, March 3 students from the Southside High School band and choir competed in U.I.L. Solo and Ensemble Contest.
Nearly 40 students earned first division ratings for their solo and ensemble performances. In addition, 15 members qualified to represent Southside High School at state-level competitions in May this year. State bound are Anna Casillas, Adriana Menchaca, Crystal Gonzales, Adelita Rodriguez, Pedro Diaz, Adrian Diaz, Amber Camarillo, Valerie Valdez, Stephanie Lira, Lorenzo Rodriguez, Norma Lozano, Kailan Pena, Olivia Flores, and Destinie Lopez.
