The honor band at J.L. Matthey Middle School proved just how good they are during regional honor band competitions on Saturday, November 7 at Medina Valley Middle School.
The students competed against area middle schools to qualify for a spot on one of two honor bands. The Matthey students came out on top and proved to be one the region’s best bands.
The Matthey Middle School honor band will now perform during a clinic and a concert on January 16, 2016 at the Medina Valley Performing Arts Center. Under normal circumstances students would prepare for their concert months in advance. However, students will meet with another middle school band then rehearse and perform all in one day. Congratulations!
