On Saturday November 7, members from the Matthey Varsity band competed at the South Texas Region Honor Band Auditions at Medina Valley MS. Students competed with area middle schools to qualify for a spot on one of the two Honor Bands. These students proved to be one of the best in our region!
They will have Clinic/Concert on January 16, 2016 at Medina Valley Performing Arts Center. In a normal setting, bands prepare for a concert one –two months in advance. These two groups will meet to rehearse and give a performance all in one day! The bands will be under direction of two guest clinicians.
