SISD remains a United Way Pacesetter

[soliloquy id=”1639″]The United Way of Bexar County recognized Southside ISD on Oct. 29 as a Pacesetter school district based on the number of employees who participated in the 2015 United Way Campaign.

The Spurs Coyote led the way as Heritage Elementary Secretary Sharon Council Perez carried the district’s banner into the grand ballroom at the United Way Kickoff Luncheon at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The staff at Heritage Elementary contributed the largest amount to the campaign and also had 100 percent participation.

Overall, 79 percent of the district’s employees participated in this year’s campaign and pledged more than $26,000 to help worthy causes in San Antonio and in Bexar County.
