Cardinal Cross Country traveled to Eagle Pass to take part in the Eagle Pass Boarder Bash Invitational this weekend! Both boys and girls JV teams showed major improvements placing 6th and 11th. The Lady Cards Varsity placed 10th and also showed signs of a team coming together. The Boys varsity continued its dominance by edging out power houses like United South High, United High and last years 6A Regional runner up, Eagle Pass High. The Cardinals were led by Senior Team captain Israel Orihuela who was just edged out at the line finishing 2nd, followed by Rene Hernandez 3rd, Freshman Nathaniel Rodriguez 6th, Matthew Olivarez 11th, Jaime Villarreal 30th, Pedro Fuentes 56th, and Thomas Gutierrez 57th. The Cardinals will run next weekend at Live Oak Park in the Judson Invitational. First race kicks off at 8am.
