[soliloquy id=”1724″]On August 26, 2015 all campuses and grade levels at SISD recognized Women’s Independence Day. Students participated in various engaging activities around our district. At the High School, students wrote reflection essays regarding the passage of the 19th amendment. At the Matthey Middle School, students looked at secondary and primary sources to write data-based essays. At Losoya, students collaborated to create posters and did reflective writing. At all our elementary campuses, students read about women’s suffrage. We also had elementary campuses create art and write about women’s independence.
