The “Strongest Girl in Texas” is a SISD Cardinal!

She is  4’11 1/2’’, 105 pounds and the State High School Champion for powerlifting in the 105 Weight Class. Southside High School junior, Marisol Munoz, 17, has been trailblazing in powerlifting with back-to-back competitions culminating in the State Finals Friday March 20th in Corpus Christi. She lifted 770 lbs. all together at that event and boasted the best scores overall and in all divisions from 1A to 6A.  This season she won medals at invitational meets, regional, and district.   Marisol is a star Cardinal and she still has next year!  Thanks to this great effort Marisol is listed 14th in  the 2015 National High School Powerlifting Rankings By Weight Class.  Since the news broke of her great accomplishment she has been featured in nearly every major news affiliate. This is powerful stuff!
