[soliloquy id=”1825″]Students at Southside ISD’s Gallardo Elementary participated in a city-wide Heroes for Health event on Thursday, March 19, 2015.
Two AFJROTC cadets from Southside High School, Juan Chavez and Christopher Reyes, “did an outstanding job leading the kids in exercises,” said AFJROTC Instructor Master Sergeant Joe Hernandez.
Two officers from the San Antonio Police Department also participated. The officers and the cadets educated the students on the importance of good nutrition, proper hydration, and exercise.
