During the holiday break the Southside Future Farmers of America (FFA) competed at the Bexar County Junior Livestock Show at the AT&T Center. This three day long show included shows for several different species of livestock including swine, goats, sheep, cattle, poultry, and rabbits as well as a creative arts show and Agricultural Mechanics show. We had 36 exhibitors with 72 entries in this year’s show which was an increase from last year Below are the results from the show.

Also during the MLK holiday, 10 FFA members exhibited their pigs at the Hill Country District Gilt Show in Kerville, Texas. This was tough competition from several surrounding counties but Southside again had success! We had 3 students place in the top 10 with one student placing 7th and bringing home some premium money.
